Waiver and release of liability

I hereby agree to the following:

1. That I am participating in an A Meaningful Life, Inc. (“AML”) Retreat, Event or Session, during which I will receive information and instruction about life coaching, yoga & meditation, nutrition, health and wellbeing. I recognize that yoga requires physical exertion that may be strenuous and may cause physical injury, and I am fully aware of the risks and hazards involved.

2. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding my participation in the AML Retreat, Event or Session. I represent and warrant that I am physically fit and I have no medical conditions that would prevent my full participation in the AML Retreat, Event or Session.

3. I understand that if I am pregnant, I will take necessary steps to ensure my doctor and health care providers know I am participating in this AML Retreat, Event or Session. I assert that I am of fit health to participate in the AML Retreat, Event or Session and I will alert all yoga, coaching, and nutrition teachers whose sessions I participate in that I am pregnant.

4. In consideration of being permitted to participate in the AML Retreat, Event or Session, I agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which I might incur as a result of participating in the retreat, event or session, including any and all activities done with the AML Retreat, Event or Session group, or as an individual at the venues. I acknowledge and agree that I am responsible for my equipment and all personal properties during the Retreat, Event or Session and that AML is not responsible in any way for such property whether it is lost, stolen or damaged.

5. In further consideration of being permitted to participate in the AML Retreat, Event or Session, I knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive any claim I may have against AML, its managers, members, and its staff for injury or damages that I may sustain as a result of participating in any retreat, event or session. I, my heirs and legal representatives forever release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue AML, its managers, members, and its staff for any injury or death caused by their negligence or other acts.

6. CANCELLATION POLICY - I understand that no refund is available if I cancel fewer than 30 days prior to the beginning date of an AML Retreat, Event or Session, if I do not show up, or if I leave a retreat, event or session early. If I cancel 30 or more days prior to the retreat, event or session begging date, I will be fully refunded, excluding the payment and transaction fees of 5-6% of the paid amount. Should the event be canceled by AML, all fees will be refunded back to participant. If you are purchasing airfare to visit AML we recommend investigating travel insurance with appropriate coverage for ultimate flexibility, since AML will not reimburse for travel expenses.

7. Deposit payment - I understand that AML offers the possibility of payment in installments of i.e. 50% deposit during online booking and 50% balance due a defined period before the beginning of the retreat, event or session depending on each specific retreat, event or session’s case. This payment may have a surcharge and is non-refundable but transferable to another AML Retreat, Event or Session or to another person of my choice only if I notify AML 2 or 4 weeks before the initial session (depending on each specific retreat, event or session’s case).

7. Photographic, Audio and Video Release - As a participant I hereby grant AML all rights, titles and interests in any and all photographic images, video or audio recordings made by AML during the Retreat, Event or Session including but not limited to royalties, proceeds, or other benefits derived. I authorize AML to use such images, words, and likenesses for marketing, on websites, in brochures or other writings and any for any other legitimate purpose.

I have read the above release and waiver of liability and fully understand its contents. I voluntarily agree and confirm being invited to consult legal counsel before accepting this waiver with my booking or reservation.
